Band Website Needs Assessment
Summary: This document is a summary of the needs assessment for the website for a small brass band. This was part of a project for ISLT 9474 Needs Assessment for Learning and Performance.

Process: Throughout the semester I conducted a needs assessment of local brass band's website with the goals of increasing recruitment of members and to inform potential bookers about the group. The results of the different forms of analysis I performed were summarized.

My Role: This class required us each to work independently on our projects. I gathered background information on problems to be solved, the organizational background, website usage data, and conducted user experience walkthroughs and interviews with two musicians.
​
Reflection: The summary document below highlights many different facets and tools involved in the needs assessment process. No one tool can give a complete picture. Using several different tools and techniques, I gained a more clear picture of the needs and opportunities for improvement of the band website.

Artifact: The artifact is a summary paper of the needs assessment processes I implemented called Increasing Local Performances and Member Recruitment for the ShowMe Brass Band
